Carolinas HealthCare System is proud to bring awareness to Heart Health Month in February. This is a time for CHS teammates to show what is At the Heart of It All. Some of the factors that put you at risk for heart disease are preventable. Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States.
Screenings can detect early warning signs of heart disease.To support your own heart health, schedule a Know Your Numbers screening and lab results review at any one of seven CHS On-Site Care locations at no charge. Know Your Numbers screenings are available, at no charge to all teammates, regardless of benefits status.
Once you complete a Know Your Numbers screening, review the results carefully and know what the values mean. If you received your labs from CHS On-Site Care you can schedule a Lab Results Review with a CHS On-Site Care provider and earn the Health Coaching reward.
Wear Red with all of CHS on Wednesday, February 8. Wear your best red attire or order a CHS Heart Health Shirt order a shirt.
2017 Cupid’s Cup 5K Run and One Mile Walk takes place on Saturday, February 11. CHS teammates can use the code livewell4hearts and receive a 10% discount on registration.
CHS LiveWELL Total Health Events are being held all month long at a location near you.
Know Your Numbers screenings are available at all seven CHS On-Site Care locations. Screenings include a full lipid panel and A1C or glucose screening. Call 704-512-3971 for your appointment at CHS On-Site Care.
These events are designed to get you on your way to a healthy heart! Get your blood pressure checked, get measurements for the Healthy Weight Reward, complete your health survey, make an appointment for health coaching, speak to a Benefits, Retirement or CarolinaCARE representative, and of course learn all about the 2017 CHS LiveWELL Incentive.
Note: Know Your Numbers screenings will not be conducted at these Total Health Events.
